CricketSat I

Mission: To test radios, and send back beacons from a payload attached to party balloons.
Launched: Early 2004 from University of Louisiana at Lafayette Campus
Recovery: Never Recovered

 


CricketSat II

Mission: Weather Balloon Project, designed as proof of concept, and flew custom board, custom box, handheld radio, batteries and external temperature sensor (thermistor), GPS, pic processor programmed in assembly. 
Launched: December, 18th, 2004 from Lake Charles, Louisiana
Recovery: Flew for two hours, with successful beacons for half an hour. Recovered by a farmer in White Castle, Louisiana.


CanSat I

Mission: Flying multiple sensors (humidity, pressure, internal/external temperature), GPS unit with radio programmed on pic processor in C, and camera.
Launched: February 7th, 2005
Recovery: Never Recovered


CrawSat I

Mission: Flying multiple sensors (pressure, internal/external temperature), GPS unit with radio programmed on pic processor in C, and  2 camera.
Secondary Payload: PearlSats from Paul Breaux Middle School
Launched: January 31st 2009 from Lake Charles, Louisiana
Recovery: Recovered from Mississippi River, near Donaldsonville, Louisiana


CrawSat III

Mission: To Fly multiple sensors (pressure, internal/external temperature, fuel gauge), GPS unit with radio programmed on pic processor in C, and 3 cameras.
Secondary Payload: PearlSats from NP Moss Middle School, and Arduino Sensor Board from Northside Highschool
Launched: February 5th,2011 from Lake Charles, Louisiana
Recovery: Recovered in Homochitto National Forest, in Jackson, Mississippi


CrawSat IV

Mission: To Fly multiple sensors (pressure, internal/external temperature), GPS unit with radio programmed on pic processor in C, and cameras.
Launched: June 9th, 2012 from Lake Charles, LA
Recovered: June 10th, 2012 near Sulphur, LA
