Scholarships
The EECE Department is now accepting
scholarship applications for the current academic year. Applications
are available on the Download Scholarship Application (PDF) link at the bottom of the page. Additionally, these applications may be picked up from the EECE Department Secretary. Applications are normally due to the department by the end of August, and once recipients are determined by the department, a listing indicating the awards is posted in the EECE Department.
AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. DANIEL G. EGAN GRANT 2 at $1500 per year
• fourth year senior student
• attended UL previous three years
• achieved highest GPA
2. HIRAM RUSSELL MASON MEMORIAL 1 at $1000 per year
• junior, senior, graduate student preferred, but freshman & sophomore
eligible
• U.S. Citizen and a Louisiana of Texas resident
• und GPA 3.0, grad GPA 3.3
3. IEEE/FELIX BOUDREAUX ENDOWED 1 at $250 per year
• freshman in Electrical Engineering
• ACT of 26 or greater
• high school average of B or above
• resident of "greater Acadiana"
4. PUGH FAMILY FOUNDATION 6 at $1000 per year
• junior, senior, graduate student P EECE major
• priority given to U.S. Citizen – non-citizens eligible
5. INSTRUMENT SOCIETY OF AMERICA 1 at $1000 per year
• junior or senior in Computer Engineering Option
• overall GPA of 3.0 P minimum of 12 semester hours
6. LOUISIANA TELEPHONE ASSOCIATION 6 at $1000 per year
• within 30 months of graduation in Telecommunication Option
• overall GPA of 2.5 P minimum of 12 semester hours
• U.S. Citizen P legal resident of Louisiana
7. ACADIANA ELECTRICAL ASSOCIATION 2 at $500 per year
• sophomore, junior or senior in Electrical Engineering
• overall GPA of 2.8 P minimum of 12 semester hours
• U.S. Citizen P resident of "greater Acadiana"
8. SENIOR ACHIEVEMENT ENDOWED 1 at $500 per year
• senior in Electrical Engineering (graduating during academic year)
• minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• rank no lower than third in cumulative GPA
9. CLECO/MARK SEGURA SCHOLARSHIP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: 1 scholarship of $500 per year
• U.S. Citizen and a Louisiana Resident
• Junior or Senior standing
• minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
