Masters

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program is designed to provide you with the educational and experimental skills needed to solve complex problems in your field. We work with you to provide a broad, fundamental engineering knowledgebase alongside your specialization. You can pursue a specialized area of study through a 30-hour thesis option, which is the best preparation for engineering practice, or a 36-hour non-thesis option.

In our program, we focus on:

  • Networks fiber optics
  • Communication systems
  • Signal processing
  • Sensors and control systems
  • Electronic materials and devices
  • Computer visualization systems
  • Robotics
  • Power systems
  • Alternative energy

For more information on applying, visit the graduate school or contact the electrical engineering graduate coordinator, Dr. Zhongqi Pan.

This program prepares its students for licensure or certification within the state of Louisiana. Please visit the list of licensure programs for important information if you plan to move out of state.
